SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--Emergency repairs start Monday on a damaged section of North Torrey Pines Rd. near Torrey Pines State Beach.
City of San Diego crews will fix part of a pedestrian access ramp undermined by storms last January. The work will require the closure of the southbound lane of North Torrey Pines Rd. between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The road will remain accessible to fire, lifeguard and police vehicles. Bicyclists will also be able to pass. Access to the beach will remain open from the Torrey Pines State Beach parking area and the parking area at the southern end of the beach.
The City hopes to expedite the work and reduce the hours of road closure, but crews are limited by the tide schedules impacting the work site.
