A suspected drunk driver in Chula Vista suffered serious injuries when he lost control of his speeding Jeep and crashed into a tree Saturday.
Witnesses told police that the motorist in the black Jeep Wrangler was speeding when he made an abrupt turn into the tree prior to the crash, according to a news statement from the Chula Vista Police Department.
Officers dispatched at 10:21 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of Third Avenue and Quintard Street said the driver was ejected from his vehicle.
He was rushed to UCSD Hospital with serious injuries.
