CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - A driver was killed after veering off Interstate 805 and crashing into a tree.
The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened at around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday on the southbound side of I-805 near Orange Avenue.
Witnesses told the CHP a white pickup truck was seen weaving in and out of traffic before swerving off the freeway and slamming into a tree on the side of the road.
The unidentified driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
