SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A young Carmel Valley mother out for a jog with her toddler in a stroller Monday morning said a man drove up pretending to need directions, and when she gave them to him, he exposed himself and started masturbating.

The woman said an Asian man driving a white SUV pulled up to her while she was on Ocean Air Drive near Calle Mar de Mariposa and asked her directions to UC San Diego.

The woman said she took a photo of the white SUV on her cell phone, got a license plate number and reported the incident to police.

"It's disgusting, and it's scary to think something like that would happen in the middle of the day here," said resident Tina Board.

Board, a rape crisis expert, told 10News if someone pulls up and asks directions from you, ignore them because it is a common luring technique.
