(KGTV) – A man who nearly died after being trapped and dragged under a Denver train on March 19, 2017 has filed a claim against the transit authority.
Sam Hynes, has filed a claim this week for restitution of medical expenses for injuries sustained after falling onto the tracks while exiting the train with his bicycle.
The surveillance video shows the moment Sam loses his balance after tripping over his bike and falling onto the train tracks.

Fortunately, he was not run over but instead dragged by the train and was finally knocked loose when he hit a wheelchair ramp seconds later.
Hynes was attended to by onlookers and eventually taken to the hospital with a broken rib and other injuries.
