(KGTV) - Denny's is offering a new menu item inspired by the solar eclipse: Mooncakes.

The restaurant chain has an all-you-can-eat deal for $4 on Monday, August 21, the day the solar eclipse is set to cross the United States.

"Like all of America, our team at Denny's is excited about the upcoming solar eclipse and we wanted to have a little fun to mark this historic occasion," said John Dillon, chief marketing officer for Denny's.

10News reached out to Denny's to determine what makes the chain's normal round pancakes different from Mooncakes.  According to the chain's public relations firm, the Mooncakes will be made just like regular pancakes.

Other food options are marking the eclipse, including Krispy Kreme's doughnut 'eclipsed' in chocolate.
