ENCINITAS: A dead humpback whale washed ashore at Grandview beach in Encinitas Saturday evening, according to Encinitas Lifeguards.
They believe the whale has been dead for about two weeks and drifted in from the Los Angeles area.
Lifeguards expect to have the carcass removed by Sunday morning.
