SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A Maltese puppy that was thrown against a wall is recovering in the care of County Animal Services Wednesday.
The puppy had an accident and a man pushed the dog's face into the mess, said county animal workers. The puppy bit the man, who threw him into a wall.
The dog was taken to the shelter on Gaines Street in Mission Valley with a broken leg. County Animal Services received donations from Spirit Fund to pay for his care.
The puppy, named "Rory" by shelter staff, will need physical therapy, said county animal workers.
Workers said Rory's disposition is sweet and friendly. Anyone who wants to adopt him can submit applications through Wednesday, August 9.
