UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Calif. (KGTV) - A protest was planned Thursday night in University Heights at a community meeting.
Organized by "Save San Diego Neighborhoods" protesters are seeking to get rid of most short term rentals in the city of San Diego.
They say vacation rentals where entire homes or apartments are rented out without an owner present are contributing to San Diego's housing crisis.
Four San Diego City Council members proposed a set of regulations to short-term rentals. Their proposal can be read here.
The issue will be taken up at a city council meeting at the end of October.
