Screeching, burning tires and tearing through a Carlsbad neighborhood - it’s what residents living off Camino Junipero said drivers are doing constantly.
Neighbors told 10News they are worried that if something isn’t done to stop the reckless driving, something tragic could happen.
“It scares me, it scares me that my teenage son might get hit, that somebody else’s teenage son or daughter might get hit, that some neighbor that we know well might get hit and killed by somebody who’s just out joyriding, or racing in circles, it’s just scary,” said Kathy Dawson.
Dawson provided 10News with surveillance video of one of the cars doing donuts in the road not far from her house.
Other neighbors said they are worried about their young kids and dogs and are afraid of someone being hit.
Many say they’ve brought the problem to the attention of the Carlsbad City Council.
