SAN DIEGO – A driver walked away unscathed after his small sedan somehow lifted a pickup truck into the air and it came crashing down on the hood of his car in Sherman Heights early Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred before 3 a.m. in the area of Market and 19th streets. The exact circumstances of the crash were not confirmed, but it ended with the rear left wheel of a parked pickup truck sitting on top of the hood and windshield of a small car.

The driver of the car was not hurt. The owner of the pickup truck told 10News that the driver was laughing as he was speaking to San Diego police. He was later detained.

No names were released. The cause is under investigation.
