SAN DIEGO (CNS) - An annual event where people can exchange firearms for gift cards -- no questions asked -- is scheduled in San Diego Saturday.
Those who bring an assault weapon to the gun buy-back, which is in its seventh year, will receive a $200 gift card, organizers said.
Participants will receive $100 gift cards for rifles, shotguns and hand guns, according to the United African American Ministerial Action Council, which runs the event in conjunction with area law enforcement agencies.
Those who drop off guns can also receive a skateboard, instead of a gift card, while supplies last.
The exchange begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Encanto Southern Baptist Church, 6020 Akins Ave.
