SAN DIEGO – Police are searching for a man who vandalized a pair of cars in a quiet neighborhood in Lake Murray overnight Thursday as he was reportedly walking his dog.

At around 1 a.m. Friday, San Diego police responded to the 6000 block of Baltimore Drive to a report of a man with a dog who was attacking some parked cars. Officers arrived to find one car whose steering wheel and airbag were destroyed, and another which had its stereo ripped out. Several windows and mirrors on both cars were shattered. The vandalism was reported by a passing driver.

San Diego police said that by the time they got on scene, the suspect was gone. They have not identified a motive in what is believed to be a random attack.
