The Junior Fair started around 1947, withstanding the test of time and numerous locations (it started in El Cajon!). At the fair members of 4-H and Future Farmers of America demonstrate the skills they've learned throughout the year in livestock, small animal and home arts shows.
The exhibitors compete and families and community members can visit to see what the groups are all about.
Fair week runs May 12 through May 20, culminating in the junior livestock auction - where exhibitors can sell their animals.
