A man driving a BMW crashed into multiple vehicles in the crowded parking lot of Casa Aldea retirement homes in University City Monday night.
One officer told 10News they suspect the man was driving drunk.
Tatiana Mussalsky heard the crashes and looked out her window.
“The guy backed up at a very high rate of speed. He hit other cars. Took out the tree over there and just slammed into my back and just pushed it right through the brick wall,” Mussalsky said. “We were lucky that there were several witnesses and a gentleman, actually followed him in his car and blocked him in for the police.”
The man was arrested at the scene.
“He couldn’t drive fast, according to the witnesses, he was going like 15, 16 miles an hour, because he had big damage,” Mussalsky said. “But at least it was just property damage. No one got hurt or killed."
Police have not released the driver’s name so it’s unclear what charges he is facing.
