Nothing says summer like making s’mores around a bonfire. This year, you can make the traditional s’more a bit different and, well, more patriotic!

For another summer of patriotic holiday weekends, Hershey’s has brought back their Red, White & Blue Cookies ‘n’ Creme bars. White chocolate-flavored with vanilla cookie bits, the candy bars were first introduced last summer but disappeared from store shelves soon after. You can find them once again at stores nationwide, like Target and Walmart, for around $5.

Because the bars are white chocolate instead of regular milk chocolate, they will lend a slightly different flavor to your s’mores. So, if you want the milk chocolate taste on your s’more, you might want to consider making it patriotic another way, like adding strawberries for a burst of color.

Target

You’ll also find patriotic treats this summer from Nabisco, which has been named the “official cookie and cracker sponsor” of Team USA for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.

The partnership includes new limited-edition cookies from Chips Ahoy! and Oreo, both featuring red, white and blue. The crunchy Team USA Chips Ahoy! Cookies have real chocolate chips and red, white and blue colored candy chips, while the Team USA Oreo Cookies are embossed with Team USA emblems and tri-color red, white and blue creme. The Oreos also have an extra spark of flavor thanks to popping candy layered within the cookies.

You can also find Oreo Firework cookies (which are the same as the Team USA cookies, just without the embossed emblems) in a variety pack at Sam’s Club or on Amazon.

You can also make your own red, white and blue treats for the Fourth of July or to enjoy while watching the Olympics.

You can even make a patriotic adult beverage, like this red, white and blue sangria or this frozen blue vodka lemonade, served with a tiny American flag.

If you really want to go all out, though, it doesn’t get any more patriotic than this layered flag cake from Betty Crocker. You’ll need three boxes of Betty Crocker Super Moist white cake mix, strawberries, blueberries, red and blue food coloring, frosting and sprinkles.
