SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Not only are Grossmont High School seniors Devon and Daniel Provence twins, they also like to run. And that's why they got involved in Cross Country and Track during their freshman year. Daniel says both sports are just really fun.

"It's a really great sport and it's really fun to just compete against the other kids. Both sports are also really supportive and competitive environment."

Devin runs the 1600 and 3200 meters. While Daniel runs the 800. The brothers say they like to train together because they bring out the best in each other.

"I enjoy running with my brother. I mean always having someone that is close to you is fun." Devin says running with his brother makes him work harder. "I started taking the sport more seriously and I guess I kind of snagged ahead."

Daniel agrees that running along side Devin helps him push to be a better runner.

"It's definitely good to always have someone to train with, and be chasing after. It's really supportive and helps both of us become better runners."

They both agree to have the their track season cut short to the COVID-19 pandemic is very disappointing.

"it's really horrible and super unfortunate. Especially for our seniors. Everyone has been working really hard."
