San Diego Police are investigating two different rapes that occurred two days apart within a two mile stretch of Pacific Beach.

Both incidents occurred last week; one in the 1700 block of Hornblend Street and the other in the 4800 block of Mission Boulevard.

Investigators said they don’t have evidence at this time to tie the two incidents together, and don’t believe they are related. Police also have not released a suspect description, or any additional information surrounding the cases.

Some women who live in the area, like Natalia Vanni, said the two cases have them worried.

“I never ever walk alone out here, especially at night, because there’s not that much street light either,” Vanni said. “A lot of people will bring pepper spray, I know a lot of my friends will bring that out just to be extra precautious.”
