Tongue-in-cheek police Twitter feed offers advice to college students

(KGTV) - Police in Lawrence, Kansas, are offering tweets of advice to the thousands of University of Kansas students who are about to start college.

The Twitter feed for the Lawrence Police Department is posting tongue-in-cheek messages to keep students away from alcohol-related crimes, including bar fights and public urination.

Sergeant Amy Rhoads said, "It's just a way for us to reach out to the community and to the students to give them a heads up on how to behave."
