CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) – A Chula Vista man is hoping someone has seen his stolen mobility scooter.

Dan Lazam says he plugged it into an outdoor power outlet by the front door Monday morning.  It was gone a few hours later.

“I just can’t believe anybody would do that,” Lazam said.

Lazam has a hard time walking after a series of diseases.

“(The scooter) was my only link to any normalcy in life,” he said. I don’t know what I’m going to do without it, honestly.”

He’s hoping that someone saw something that can help him get his scooter back.

UPDATE: On Tuesday, August 8 Dan called Reporter Anthony Pura to let him know that the manufacturer of his scooter offered to replace it. 10News was there when he and his family picked it up. Click here for the story!
