SAN DIEGO – A small brush fire broke out in the front yard of a home in Allied Gardens overnight Monday.
The blaze was reported at 12:14 a.m. in the 4800 block of Greenbrier Avenue. San Diego Fire-Rescue crews responded to find dense brush ablaze in the front yard of a home.
A San Diego police helicopter overhead lit the area while crews extinguished the fire before it spread to the home.
The family was safely evacuated and there were no injuries.
There was no word on the extent of the damage or the cause.
