SAN DIEGO - Numerous residents at a downtown apartment complex were forced out of their homes after flooding in their building.
Firefighters say the flooding at the apartment complex on 9th Ave. and Broadway happened Sunday night when a resident trying to do pullups on a water pipe caused a sprinkler on the fourth floor to rupture.
The building flooded down to the first floor.
Displaced residents are staying at hotels until the water damage is repaired.
