A man tried to sexually assault a woman inside of a 24 Hour Fitness gym shower, according to San Diego Police.
The incident happened on June 19 around 12:15 a.m. at the 24 Hour Fitness located at 4345 Imperial Avenue.
Police said the unknown suspect forced his way into the shower despite the woman's effort to keep it closed. The suspect then stepped into the shower and motioned for the victim to be quiet.
The woman told police he then grabbed her shoulder and prevented her from exiting the shower stall. The woman screamed and pushed him before he fled the area and police arrived.
He is described as a black man in his mid-20s, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 140 to 150 pounds, thin build, clean shaven, with black wavy hair. At the time of the assault, the man was wearing black shorts, black flip flops and had no shirt on.
