SAN DIEGO – A pedestrian was struck and killed on an Alpine roadway Wednesday morning.
The collision was reported at 7:07 a.m. in the area of South Grade Road and Via Viejas, according to California Highway Patrol’s incident information page. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was not immediately identified.
South Grade Road was subsequently closed from Via Viejas to Calle De Los Comprades, according to the county Department of Public Works.
