UPDATE: Oceanside Police said Thursday afternoon the boy had been found. 10News is monitoring the story for updates regarding the circumstances.
Oceanside police are asking for the public's help in finding a 3-year-old boy who was reported missing Thursday, possibly with his 23-year-old brother.
Police said Derick, a 3-foot-tall Hispanic boy, was last seen Thursday morning in the 1400 block of Higgins Street at 9:30 a.m. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue shorts.
Police believe the boy may be with his older brother Alex, who they say is also unaccounted for. Alex is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches tall and has brown hairs and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an unknown colored shirt and camouflage print pants.
The last names of Derick and Alex were not immediately provided.
Anyone who sees Derick or Alex or has information on this case is urged to call 911 or contact Oceanside police at 760-435-4900.
