ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) - After a heartbreaking birthday surprise, an Escondido mom went on a mission to track down the thief who targeted her son.
On Saturday, Cole Loya locked up his bike at a transit station before he headed up to Disneyland to celebrate his 16th birthday. The next day, he found his hard-earned bike missing.
His mother, who was in Arizona on business, immediately launched a social media campaign to find the bike.
The campaign would lead to a dramatic confrontation and her son getting his bike back.
