Lyft driver pistol whipped in Mission Valley

SAN DIEGO – Police are looking for two suspects who pistol whipped a Lyft driver in Mission Valley Monday night.
 
The driver was parked outside the Marriott Mission Valley in the 400 block of Hotel Circle South, taking a break in his car, when the attack occurred at around 10:20 p.m. 
 
According to San Diego police, one of the suspects allegedly approached the victim’s Prius and began banging on the hood of his car. The driver attempted to lock his car doors, but accidentally hit the button which rolls the windows down.
 
The suspects pistol whipped the driver and took off with his wallet. They fled west toward the T.G.I. Friday’s. Police responded but were unable to locate the men. 
 
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
Police are investigating.
