OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV)--Google armed hundreds of North County teens to help with cyber security. The Oceanside Unified School District invited Google’s “Online Safety Roadshow” to Chavez Middle School Thursday.
Google taught students how to protect themselves against strangers lurking online.
Google said 93 percent of teens log on every day and one in three of them shares their password with someone who should not have it.
“We have all kinds of issues about kids sharing stuff they shouldn’t be sharing,” said Oceanside Unified School District Board President Robert Gleisberg.“This is urgent for them to understand they need to put the barriers up.”
