OCEANSIDE, Calif. - A 5-year-old girl reported missing from her Oceanside home Wednesday afternoon has been found safe, according to police.
Oceanside police said Sophia Saragosa disappeared from her home in the 1100 block of Parkview Drive sometime after 12:30 p.m.
Officers with service dogs worked through the afternoon to find the girl, aided by a sheriff's helicopter crew, Lt. Leonard Cosby said.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m., police confirmed that Sophia was found hiding in her family's garage.
No other details were immediately provided.
