SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One of the best things about San Diego Comic-Con is you can be whatever you want to be. There is no lack of cosplayers and special effects makeup to help you achieve that goal.

10News social media producer Stacy Haynes was turned into a mutant Friday with the help of Los Angeles-based Cinema Makeup School at Comic-Con.

The school aims to offer up-to-date education to aspiring makeup artists and special effects technicians.

Makeup artist Miranda Jory glued a prosthetic special effects piece to Stacy’s face and got to work transforming her into the mutant.

Jory was on multiple seasons of the Syfy show ‘Face Off’ with Cinema Makeup School Director of Education Ve Neill.

Both were at the school’s booth at San Diego Comic-Con, and they drew huge crowds who loved watching them transform people’s faces right in front of them.

The entire mutant makeup process took about two hours, but Jory said if she had more time she could make the makeup look even more real and frightening.
