SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Del Mar: Sept. 2 is going to be a good day.
Hip-hop legend and actor Ice Cube will perform at the tail end of Del Mar Racetrack's Summer Concert Series on Sept. 2, organizers announced Tuesday.
Fans last caught Ice Cube, a founding member of N.W.A., in San Diego during KAABOO Del Mar 2017. Born O'Shea Jackson, Ice Cube has put together a solo career with a number of hits, including "Check Yo Self," "It Was a Good Day," and "$100 Bill Y'all."
Other notable artists scheduled to perform at the racetrack's annual summer concert series include Aloe Blacc and Ziggy Marley.
Organizers revealed the full lineup Wednesday:
- Psychedelic Furs - July 20
- Iration - July 21
- Steel Pulse - July 27
- Matisyahu - August 3
- Aloe Blacc - August 10
- Reggae Fest with Ziggy Marley - August 11
- Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats - August 17
- Tribal Seeds - August 24
- Café Tacvba - August 31
- Ice Cube - September 2
Concerts during the series are free with admission to the racetrack before the last race and $30 after the last race. Concert goers must be 18 years or older.
Last year's concert series brought Ludacris, Eagles of Death Metal, Steve Aoki, and San Diego's own Slightly Stoopid to town for fans.
