OCEANSIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - The Paul Mitchell Neon Supergirl Pro surf event and festival, the largest female surfing event in the world, is set to hit the surf at the end month. The event showcases all-girls action sports competitions and festivities.
It's scheduled to take place at the Oceanside Pier July 28-30.
”I can’t begin to explain how excited all of the girls are about this event,” said Malia Manuel, 2013 Supergirl Pro champion, “It’s so amazing to have a contest like this in the US that focuses entirely on women’s surfing.”
Several organizations will attend the event focusing on breast cancer awareness, bullying prevention and sustainability, including Boarding 4 Breast Cancer, Earth’s Oceans Foundation, and the Kind Campaign.
The free event will feature live concerts, a female DJ contest, women’s skate competition, female e-sports tournament, comedy, fashion, fitness & dance classes, art, yoga, giveaways, hair styling, a celebrity surf contest, autographs, seminars, a beer & wine garden, food, and more.
