Rapper Ice Cube on Chargers: 'San Diego, please stop sending us your trash'

The day the Chargers announced they would be relocating to Los Angeles was not a good day for Ice Cube.

The rapper/actor/huge Raiders fan has been pretty vocal about the now-LA Chargers in recent weeks. He went into diss mode last week and dropped a quick verbal bomb on America's Finest City when he was asked about the Bolts.

In a video message to San Diegans posted by Sports Illustrated on Feb. 17, the Los Angeles-based performer said, "San Diego, please stop sending us your trash. You sent us the Clippers, now we got the Chargers."

On Feb. 11, Cube told Newsday that the Chargers were the "wrong team" to move to his hometown:

"It's the wrong team," he said. "It's like, you know, one of them is right and one of them is wrong. The Raiders and the Rams shared L.A. before. It would be a natural fit. There's no competition AFC vs. NFC. You don't even have to worry about each other until the Super Bowl.

"And I believe Raider fans would be Ram fans and Ram fans would be Raider fans and the synergy will be there. But when the Chargers play the Raiders in Inglewood, they're going to feel like they just got kicked out their own house."
