Pro Treatment: Versatility keeps Steele Canyon star on the field

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A high school football game includes 48 minutes of action. Thomas Fishburne is on the field for almost every second.

Steele Canyon is getting the 10News Pro Treatment this week. When the Cougars take the field against Mira Mesa on Friday night, you'll see Fishburne playing quarterback. If he drives his team into field goal range, he'll stay out an attempt to kick. If the Cougars go 3-and-out and have to punt? Yep, Fishburne does that too.

And when the other team has the ball? Fishburne will be out on defense for every play as free safety.

So which position is his favorite?

"My favorite position to play is receiver," Fishburne tells 10News. "And that's the one position I don't get to play."

Not only is Fishburne versatile on the football field, he's also the point guard for the basketball team, plays volleyball, runs track, and is thinking about adding baseball to the mix.
