The so-called Pine fire in the Cleveland National Forest, south of Interstate 8, is expected to be fully contained sometime Saturday night, according to the CDF.

"It really isn't moving anywhere," said CDF spokeswoman Audrey Hagen.

She said the fire was mostly confined to the southeast side of Bear Valley.

More than 700 firefighters battled the wildfire, which was sparked Wednesday by an illegal campfire, according to the CDF. No structures are threatened by the blaze, the agency reported.

Two firefighters were injured. One suffered burns and the other heat fatigue.
