SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego County leaders gave the green light for more businesses throughout the region to reopen Tuesday.

Speaking at a county news conference, Supervisor Nathan Fletcher said malls are allowed to reopen for pickup and delivery, but no in-person shopping will be allowed.

Car washes, landscaping and gardening businesses, pet grooming, and outdoor museums and gathering spaces are also allowed to reopen.

The announcement comes as the county moves further into phase two of California's reopening plan.

Offices throughout San Diego County are also allowed to resume operation, but Fletcher encouraged employees who are able to telework to continue to do so.

Fletcher asked businesses that plan to reopen to fill out the safe reopening plan and post it for the public.

The announcement was made shortly after Governor Gavin Newsom modified the state's health order to allow individual counties to approve the reopening of malls.
