SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A family is out of their home tonight after a fire on Flanders Drive in Mira Mesa. More than a dozen firefighters were able to contain the flames to the garage, leaving the rest of the home with only minor smoke damage.

Four adults, and infant and a toddler were home when the fire broke out. All are safe. Multiple pets were also present, one rabbit was treated for smoke inhalation on scene.
At this time investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
