Lime (formerly LimeBike) launched their first U.S. military based dock-free bike share program on Bike to Work Day.
In coordination with the Navy, Lime released bikes at high traffic areas such as housing and NEX on the San Diego Naval Base.
“We are thrilled to be offering a program that will allow our servicemen and women an easier and smarter way to get around the base. Together, we will build a greener transportation future for our sailors.” Zack Bartlett, Lime San Diego General Manager.
Use the code “LIME2WORK” to receive free Lime rides for the Bike to Work Day ($5.00 account credit).
Lime's bikes and scooters can be found nearby, unlocked, and picked-up using a smartphone; when you're finished, simply end the ride with the Lime mobile app and responsibly park by the street curb, or at a bike rack.
