North Clairemont am/pm convenience store robbed by man pretending to have a gun

No one was injured during the robbery

SAN DIEGO - A man pretended to have a handgun while robbing an am/pm convenience store at a gas station in North Clairemont early Wednesday, police said.
   
The armed robbery at 4498 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. was reported at 1:14 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros. The man fled on foot out the front door and no one was hurt, Delimitros said in a statement.
   
Police described the robber as Hispanic, in his 30s and around 5 feet 11, with a bulky build. He wore a black bandana, black hoodie and black gloves, Delimitros said.
