Mark Wahlberg dismisses Kardashian comparison of new unscripted A&E series starring his brothers

Show follows family-owned restaurant Wahlburgers

Mark Wahlberg says his family won't be the new Kardashians.

Wahlberg will appear in a new unscripted A&E series about family-owned restaurant Wahlburgers alongside his brothers Donnie and Paul. But the actor and producer shoots down any comparison to that other famous set of reality TV siblings.

He said in an interview that his series is "very different" from the Kardashians.

Wahlberg spoke Tuesday night in Hollywood at the AFI Fest premiere of his new war movie "Lone Survivor." He portrays Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, part of a mission gone wrong in the mountains of Afghanistan in 2005.

Wahlberg is also producing an "Entourage" movie and says he's hoping to at least equal the big-screen output of another popular HBO series, "Sex and the City," which made two films.
