This category honors our community’s youth or those that work to inspire, develop and lead our youth. Youth recipients are role models for their peers and take action to help their neighbors and communities. Leaders that work with youth have gone above and beyond their job descriptions to create needed solutions to problems in San Diego. Leaders in this category display many of the following characteristics:

Initiates or creates solutions/solves a problem

Fills a community need

Works with other community groups to solve a community issue

For educators: goes above and beyond their job description

Promotes community collaboration

Involved on an on-going, long-term basis (some exceptions based on committee decision)
