Dad Tries eBay Ad To Locate Missing Son

Posting Gets Removed By Web Site Operators

POSTED: 9:19 am PST March 30, 2005

An Indiana man is behind an unusual posting on eBay.

The Northwest Indiana Times reported Wednesday that Bill Nolan is desperate to find his son -- who's been missing for nine days.

The Valparaiso man said eBay keeps removing the posting, because that's not the site's purpose, but Nolan posts his message again and again.

"eBay's not very happy with me right now, but oh well," Nolan said. "Where else can you think of where you can get millions of people across the country to look at it?"

He hopes somebody scanning eBay can help him find his son.

Nolan's 23-year-old son, Jeremy, disappeared from his home. He's an unemployed father of three young children.

Anyone who has information about Jeremy Lee Nolan can call his father 24 hours a day. Bill Nolan can be reached at (219) 310-0842, Porter County police at (219) 477-3000, and Valparaiso police at (219) 462-2135.
