"Ironically, it was because of the weather that I chose to move to San Diego from Minneapolis. Not, surprisingly, it is because of the people of San Diego that I'm very glad I did."

Geni takes it as a great responsibility to provide you with accurate weather information-so you know how to dress your children for school; what to wear on your camping trip; would your picnic be better in the mountains or at the beach; should you wash the car in the next few days.

She also takes it as her personal responsibility to remind you of this: Don't forget the sunscreen.

When Geni is not on the air she is almost always busy volunteering her time and talents to many of San Diego's worthy causes. She works with the Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Conference, San Diego Humane Society, Girl Scouts of America.

Geni also commits herself to in-class reading programs in San Diego elementary schools, and to Junior and Senior High School Career Days.
