Position: Executive Producer

Job Description: KGTV, the McGraw-Hill owned ABC affiliate in San Diego California, seeks an aggressive, enthusiastic & motivated Executive Producer. Responsibilities will include overseeing the morning newscasts and working with producers, anchors, reporters and photographers on story selection and placement for newscasts. The successful candidate must be a newsroom leader and be able to generate daily story ideas and work closely with everyone in the newsroom. Candidate must have excellent news judgment skills, have the ability to lead and coach a team in a fast paced environment and be available and willing to work irregular shifts and holidays as needed.

Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3 years prior news management experience (including directly supervising staff) in a mid to large TV market. Current in-depth knowledge of local and national events and demonstrated news judgment skills required. Ability to work well with others and provide leadership under pressure. Journalism or related degree required.
