POSITION: Spanish Language Digital Correspondent (Videojournalist)

JOB DESCRIPTION: KZSD, the McGraw-Hill owned Azteca America affiliate in San Diego, seeks an aggressive, enthusiastic, motivated & resourceful Multi-platform Digital Correspondent (videojournalist) to join our News Team. Responsibilities will include reporting, shooting, writing, producing, editing news stories with an emphasis on sports, weather and posting content to our stations' websites. The successful candidate must be a native Spanish speaker with excellent English skills as well. We are looking for someone who has the ability to research and write stories in Spanish that are compelling, factually correct, creative, and written in a clear, concise conversational manner. The right candidate will also be able to produce a mini-weathercast and a sportscast in Spanish. This position will be the primary back-up for our news anchor on Azteca America San Diego 15 news briefs.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 years on-air reporting in Spanish required. Journalism or related degree required. Excellent writing skills and a good knowledge of sports, local events, news & weather. Track record of writing and producing stories and segments (in Spanish) that go beyond the basics to incorporate the latest techniques of storytelling and production. Training can be provided however, experience shooting video and editing with Final Cut Pro is a plus. Thorough understanding of web trends and posting online content a must.
