Position: VP - General Manager

Duties: 10News (KGTV), San Diego's ABC affiliate, McGraw-Hill Broadcasting is currently seeking a VP - General Manager for its local media outlets in San Diego, including KGTV (ABC), KZSD (Azteca) and 10 News.com. The VP/GM is responsible for leading a team of more than 150 employees including a news organization that produces almost 30 hours of local news per week. The VP/GM is responsible for ensuring profitable growth of the businesses. The successful candidate will have the ability to establish and execute a clear and compelling vision and strategic direction. This position reports to the President of Broadcasting and will directly oversee department heads in News, Sales, Promotions, Operations, Engineering and Business.

Requirements:Degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years prior general management experience a must. Must be a versatile leader with strong personal integrity who inspires others and is not mired in the past. Prior experience negotiating agreements (retransmission, Union & programming) required. Up to date industry knowledge required including experience in digital media. This position requires knowledge of news content and delivery, branding, marketing strategy, digital revenue streams, television production, external media, financials, and research. Experience in the Spanish language market a plus.
