Position: News Director

Duties: 10News (KGTV), San Diego's ABC affiliate, has an exciting opportunity for a strong leader and motivator to fill the position of News Director. This position directs and manages the overall operation of the news department including news content, staff, and budget oversight. The ideal candidate will be an agent for change to keep evolving our product and will be a proven leader who has the ability to motivate a diverse newsroom staff and hold them accountable. The right candidate will ensure the highest level of journalistic standards, have a strong local focus, and will be results driven with the proven ability to find and nurture successful talent and teams.

Requirements: This position requires strong leadership skills, communication, interpersonal and team building skills. The News Director will also have a proven track record leading a successful news organization. Minimum 5 years in News Management.
