POSITION: Digital Correspondent (Videojournalist)

JOB DESCRIPTION: KGTV, the McGraw-Hill owned ABC affiliate in San Diego, seeks an aggressive, enthusiastic, motivated & resourceful Digital Correspondent (Videojournalist) to join our News Team. Responsibilities will include reporting, shooting, writing, producing, editing news stories and web elements within assigned deadlines. The successful candidate will have the ability to research and write stories that are compelling, factually correct, creative, and written in a clear, concise conversational manner. Must develop and maintain a unique beat, working sources and content to drive original, hyper-local, high impact content for 10News, 10news.com and Azteca America San Diego.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 years on-air experience and Journalism or related degree required. Strong understanding of news gathering ethical and legal issues. Excellent writing skills and a good knowledge of politics, business and economics and social trends. Track record of writing and producing stories and segments that go beyond the basics to incorporate the latest techniques of storytelling and production. Training can be provided however, experience shooting video and editing with Final Cut Pro is a plus. Thorough understanding of web trends and posting online content.
