10News honors Mark and Tori Baird for founding and running the HirePatriot.com organization, which is a job posting website, along with job fairs, to help military personnel, veterans and their spouses.

Mark and Tori Baird were inspired to begin this program after meeting some of the military wives with children in their neighborhood. They became aware of the struggles and finical difficulties these women endure, especially those with husbands deployed to a combat zone. Mark and Tori Baird asked themselves, “What can we do to make their lives a little easier and to show our appreciation for their sacrifice and duty?” They thought about it and came up with this idea to help those who serve in the military earn extra money on their days off.

Hire Patriots.com began in February 2005, as a website to serve the Marines at Camp Pendleton, Ca. and was named HireMarines.com. The site was a huge success from the start. It grew from 500 visitors in its first month to 15,000 after its third. Six months from the sites inauguration, HireMarines.com expanded to include every military branch and nation. It became HirePatriots.com

The website is free for military families to use and free for employers to post jobs. HirePatriots.com welcomes sponsors and advertisers to participate on this site as well.

This program has helped thousands of military families and has been a complete success from the very beginning.
