San Diego State star Jamaal Franklin to enter 2013 NBA Draft

Some scouts project Franklin to go in late 1st Rd.

SAN DIEGO - San Diego State University star guard Jamaal Franklin will skip his senior season and enter the 2013 NBA Draft, according to the school's official athletic website.

Franklin, a 6-5 junior from Hawthorne, was the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year in 2012 as a sophomore. He averaged 17.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

This past season, Franklin led the Aztecs in scoring (17.0), rebounding (9.5), assists (3.3) and steals per game (1.6). He was the only Division I player in the nation to lead his team in all four categories.

Franklin, 21, was named an Associated Press All-American twice and selected to the all-Mountain West team two times.
